The KMG team served as the owner’s representative on the $40M mixed-use development called the East End in Midland, Michigan. The East End project was an urban redevelopment in downtown Midland. Brownfield redevelopment was implemented with the demolition of the former McKay Press Building. Asbestos abatement, hazardous site remediation, and public infrastructure elements of the project were required to allow for the construction of this nearly 250,000 square-foot structure. KMG worked with the developer to prepare initial cost estimates and establish the overall project budget and schedule. RFP’s and evaluation of competitive proposals for design and construction firms were developed and administered by KMG. Neumann Smith Architecture, Rowe Professional Services Company, and Spence Brothers completed this project on schedule and under budget under the management of the project by KMG
