Representative services for phase 1 at Four Winds South Bend. The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians extended their successful Four Winds brand into South Bend, Indiana with a new casino. The recently completed phase is 175,000 square feet of gaming and includes restaurants, coffee shop, bars, and retail outlets. The design integrates tribal cultural references and symbolism with contemporary details to achieve the elegant lodge style now synonymous with the Four Winds brand. Since originally bringing KMG on board in 2014 this project has evolved significantly. The original design was a Hartford plus model of 900 gaming machines with a single restaurant however when the ribbon was cut on opening day the program had grown to 1,800 gaming machines with four restaurants, a players lounge, a coffee shop, three bars, a retail outlet, and 3,000-space parking garage. Given the project growth and extremely aggressive timeline, KMG brought on additional resources to help manage and support the project for the PGA. The project also included oversight and separate cost accounting of a new warehouse, off-site roadwork projects, installation of a new flag monument, and earthwork to prepare building pad for a future Phase 2. Solicitation of a new Construction Management Firm, as well as significant budget management requirements, were highlights of this successful project for Four Winds.
